The Flanders Hotel is an absolutely incredible wedding venue. I can't think of anything more profound to say than that. Any reservations that I had about the event were completely addressed and were non-issues on the day of our wedding. Karen Bergman, the event coordinator, does a tremendous job tailoring the event to your personality as a couple, despite the volume of business handled by the Hotel. Karen and her staff made every effort to accomodate our requests, even when they weren't something typically offered, like a cheese course after dinner or a pierogi station for cocktail hour to honor our Polish heritage. Karen and her staff were also wonderful about working within our budget. At other wedding venues, I often felt like event planners were trying to gauge us for every service, like renting the room, setting up the chairs, or insisting on a minimum-night stay in the hotel, on top of what we were already being asked to pay for the party. Websites rank the Flanders as an expensive option, but relative to the level of service we received and other venues prices I thought we got a fantastic bargain! The white glove service was great. The butlers were even kind enough to pull aside a few plates of appetizers for my husband and me, after they recognized we were not getting a chance to eat during cocktail hour. The food was some of the best wedding fare we've ever tasted. As confirmed food snobs, we worried about the kitchen's ability to escape the trappings of typical banquet fare, but we were delighted to hear from our guests that nobody was served a cold or overcooked steak. The bar was also a huge success because we were able to stock it with our own beer, wine and booze choices. The fact that Ocean City is a dry town allows you to control what goes up on the bar and also to save money by returning any unopened bottles. The Flanders Hotel staff really made our wedding a tremendous success, even after the rain forced our ceremony off the beach. The giant stone fireplace flanked by beautiful art-deco seaside murals provided a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. The staff then turned that space around in less than an hour to turn it into a dance floor and nobody at the party saw them do it. It was a truly beautiful day that I never dreamed would have been our reality and the Flanders Hotel and it's staff are largely responsible for it. What else do you want me to say? It's a relative bargain and they'll truly give you want you want for your big day.

We had our reception at The Flanders Hotel on November 13, 2010 and could not have been happier with our choice. The Flanders Hotel is an amazing venue with high ceilings and gold finishes that left our guests in awe. The ballrooms are gorgeous and the additional up- lighting we added created a magical and romantic ambiance. The food was spectacular and our cocktail hour included a raw bar, sushi, lollipop lamb chops, meats, cheeses, and tons more. Dinner was a perfectly spaced five-course meal with filet mignon cooked to order, intermezzo, and an amazing desert bar including waffles and ice cream sundaes, coffee bar with cordials, taste of the boardwalk and more. The Chef worked with us to pick out a diverse menu and even let us pick foods that were a part of our heritage. This was definitely a special touch and both our families loved it! The service was great and we felt like a King and Queen. We definitely recommend the Flanders Hotel if you are looking for a venue that will cater to all your needs. We truly had the Wedding of Our Dreams!!

I had my wedding on October 24th, 2010 at the Flanders and it was a day to remember! Karen, our wedding coordinator, did an amazing job making sure everything went flawless! The place looked like it came out of a fairytale! I had my ceremony there too in the Garden Room and it was just breathtaking! As a first time bride and a girl who has never even been to a wedding I had a lot of worries but Karen and the staff at the Flanders took care of everything and really directed me and my guest so nothing went wrong! This is a vendor who genuinely cares about your special day and wants nothing more to make it the best day of your life! I would recommend this vendor to anybody who really wants a special wedding day with no worries! :)

My husband and I had our wedding at The Flanders on June 26th 2010 and could not have had a more memorable day. Thanks to the beautiful day put together by Karen (thanks Karen) and her wonderful staff!! We were blown away with all the attention to us and all details we wanted to have included. The gray, fuschia, & plum wedding pictures are our wedding and we were blown away by everything The Flanders did to pull that off. The next day my husband and I said to each other "Let's do it again!". And that really had so much to do with our venue. Thanks again to all the hard work put into our special day. Anyone thinking of having their big day here, you will not regret it at all.

Thank you so much for an amazing wedding! Everything was so perfect and we owe a great deal of that to you! The entire wedding staff, food, and setup was excellent and we have received many letters from guests saying how much they enjoyed the wedding and how it was the best wedding they had ever been to! You made everything go so smooth and the night went without any hiccups. The attention to detail of the Garden Room and Ballroom was unbelievable and just how we wanted it. We would not have changed a thing if we had the chance! Also, all of the rooms at the Flanders were perfect for our wedding and the penthouse was the perfect place for our friends to stay! Our event held on May 19th in the Board Room was very nice. The food was delicious, especially the banana compote. Morgan, the Catering Manager, who attended to us the day of the banquet was very accommodating and pleasant. The room and accommodations were great.
